About 29 Seconds…
We get asked all the time: “Why ’29 Seconds'”? Well… we’ll tell you. 29 Seconds is a Barbershop Quartet affiliated with the Westchester Chordsmen (chordsmen.org). Its members, Dan Rendich (Tenor), Rob Scholl (Lead), Scott Kruse (Baritone), and Erik Contzius (Bass) have been a Barbershop Harmony Society registered quartet since March 2011, and is considered one of the Top Fifty Quartets in their division, having competed in Morristown, NJ in April at some point. Before you ask, “29 Seconds” gets its name from making cute YouTube videos of 29 seconds in length.

Rob Scholl, Lead
Long time resident of Ossining, New York, first time caller Rob Scholl loves to program. Loves it. I’m serious. I’m not quite sure why. When he’s not sitting in front of a computer, he’s hiking Bear Mountain. While he’s not hiking, he can be found serving vegetarian “riblets” in his remodeled kitchen. While not dining on fine frozen cuisine, Rob can be found singing lead.

Scott Kruse, Baritone
Scott “Scotty” Kruse enjoys holding down the baritone part. He is the true byproduct of barbershopping. His parents met through the hobby. As a result, he always has to blow a B-flat before entering a room.

Dan Rendich, Tenor
Dan Rendich has been singing barbershop music his whole life. His claim to fame is that he shares his birthday with world renowned, classically-trained baritone, Erik Contzius.

Erik Contzius, Bass
Erik Contzius is a notorious hipster–with his hairy face, his vegan diet, his tiny feet, and his sawdust bedding… No, wait. That’s a hamster. Erik is a notorious hamster. Apparently.
